Our Services

D&H Contracting has the equipment, personnel, talent and expertise to deliver all the services necessary for any successful Outside Plant Telecommunications project. From initial design engineering and constructibility walkout to construction to home installation services, D&H can do it all.

Aerial & Underground Construction

D&H Contracting has evolved into the premier Fiber Optic construction company in the South. Having hung thousands of miles of both ADSS (Self Support) fiber in the power space for electric cooperatives in Arkansas, Mississippi & Tennessee to hanging traditional strand and lash armored fiber for incumbent telephone companies and cable TV providers in the communication space, we know the techniques and intricacies of working in any situation. We also have the equipment to bore, trench or plow conduit and place vaults, handholes and pedestals for all underground fiber services.

Fiber Splicing

Fiber Optic Splicing is the craft work that ensures that your FTTH Broadband network or point to point backbone is connected correctly and within industry standard specifications before it is placed into service. D&H has a highly qualified team of professional splicers and a network of closely associated subcontractors ready to support the construction, testing and maintenance of all the networks we build and support. Our experienced supervisors and engineers can help design and interpret all your splicing diagrams for a painless implementation experience.

TELCO Services

Working with multi-pair copper telephone wire is quickly becoming a lost art. D&H has experience in construction, maintenance and splicing of both aerial and underground copper phone lines. From repairing damaged plant to extending new lines, let us put our experience to work for you.

CATV Construction & Maintenance

Fiber Optics is the new reality in communications and video services but, true to our roots, D&H Contracting continues to support the traditional Coaxial and Hybrid Fiber Coaxial Cable Television world with construction of new plant or the maintenance and operation of existing plant. Our experienced team can build, bond, core, splice, balance and sweep your RF plant while rehabbing and extending the life of your valuable asset. When the time comes to retire unused plant, we can also perform wreck out and clean up services.

Fiber Optic Drop Installation

One of the most under appreciated and often overlooked areas of the Fiber to the Premises deployment is that of drop installation. It is also one of the most critical because that is where your network and your customer first make contact. D&H realizes the sensitive nature of attaching drops to customers' homes or the placing of duct from curb to home across yards. D&H crews are taught to respect the property of homeowners when burying drops or placing house boxes on a structure. Great care is given to keeping the customer informed of all aspects of the drop process as well as obtaining locations of unmarked private utility services. Look to D&H for professional aerial and underground drop installation.

Fiber Installation Services

Getting your equipment in the customers home is where the rubber meets the road in the FTTH Broadband provider business. If the installation is sloppy, if the WiFi coverage is inadequate, if the signal level is too weak, your customer service phones will light up with unhappy customers and your reputation will take a hit. Our installation professionals can work within your companies' parameters to offer the customer the best overall installation experience possible.

Engineering

A good project starts with a good plan, but even the best plans can't always stand up to real world deployment. Our engineers are well versed in the use of digital design techniques and GIS technologies to both create a workable design, establish a bill of materials and labor quote and to create red lined as-built drafts of your project. If you already have a design to implement, our engineers can work with our project management team for an efficient use of materials and manpower to provide a favorable outcome to the project.

Project Management

Each project that D&H engages with is assigned an experienced Project Manager as the single point of contact between D&H and the customer or the customers representative. Our Project Managers are all experienced construction professionals who have risen through the ranks with D&H or other partner companies and know what it takes to build a reliable network, no matter what technology you will be implementing. This project manager is responsible for meeting milestones, tracking processes, requisitioning inventory, resolving issues, creating red lines, performing as-built changes and keeping projects on time and on budget.
